Gio and his Biggest Fans

We only have three weeks until Spring break so let's go all in. The challenge for this series, Haters is this:

CONTACT YOUR STUDENTS AT LEAST ONCE EVERY WEEK OUTSIDE OF GROUP

Every week I will highlight a Group that is doing this well! This week, I wanted to highlight David Reid and Ramses Hernandez. They lead a 6th grade boys group in which has grown tremendously and is now one of our largest groups! Even though this is both of their first times EVER leading a group, they have been able to connect with their students very well because of their ability to have a relationship outside of group. This past Saturday they went to a basketball game because their student Gio was playing.

It’s important to hang out with your students outside group to build a bond that will continue beyond the one and a half hours spent per week during growth group. It also lets your students know that you care about them and are interested in the things that they are interested in.

So let's go into this next week seeking ways to love our students with group texts, movie hang outs, sports events or whatever works for your tribe!
